Steuart has immersed himself over the last 20 years exploring abstract avenues from everyday forms. He does not tell the viewer his meaning or interpretation. You will never see a pre plan or a sketch as everything produced remains programmed within Steuart's amazing mind.
Working with bold Corten steel, with its high tensile, presents many physical challenges requiring reliance on multiple clamps and lots of sweat but nearly always with a satisfactory outcome. Of course, the resulting burnt orange patina that all surfaces finally display when exposed, adds to the sculptural strength and beauty.
