Connection to Roy: Although I didn’t know Roy personally I highly value and appreciate the work of any artist that raises the importance of art in our local community and throughout NZ.
As a primary school art teacher I am always looking to and inspiring our little ones with the work of NZ artists and the great advocates of those that support, and place artists and art, at its highest level.
Raising the importance of art and teaching children the benefits of art as individuals, communities, and the art history of our people in our country is always at the forefront of everything I do in schools, also a tribute to the work of Roy and other art lovers before him.
