Connection to Roy: I drew this picture with ink pen when I was 15 years old in 1986 and a student of Mr Dunningham at Havelock North High School.
Roy was my high school art teacher back in 1984-1986. He was very influential in my decision to go to design school at Wellington Polytechnic in 1989.
He recognised that I was far better suited to design than fine art. Mr Dunningham was my favourite teacher of all time.
I was lucky enough to have come back into contact with Roy over the last few years - in my role as graphic designer at Hastings City art gallery.
