Artist Profile

Mark Simpson

I work part-time as a part-time paraprofessional with people with disabilities in the community.

As I was painting this during the 2020 Level 4 Lockdown, I reflected upon the echoing happy sounds, splashes and dancing light in the many shades, tints and tones of turquoise, the relief from the gravity of one who sits in a wheelchair - the overall kindness of burden bearing in our community.
