Nik Cox
I have long been obsessed with depicting Te Mata, ever since I heard his legend as a child. This obsession led me into landscape painting. The works depict various North Island locations special because of people or experiences. The most recent series 'My Favourite Escarpment' reflects conquering that obsession and producing works that depict that range and those surrounding it in a way I find pleasing.
