Richard Boyd-Dunlop
The Auckland born artist who now calls Napier home, opened the Boyd-Dunlop Gallery in Hastings Street Napier in December 2015. Richard’s signature, pop-culture inspired prints, collages, paintings and drawings are on display there, alongside the many other talented artists hosted by his Gallery.
A self-taught artist, Richard began painting in his teens and has been exhibiting work for 25 years. His work is held in the Auckland Regional Council collection, the Manukau City Council collection and many private collections in New Zealand and around the world.
Career highlights include two art residencies in the Pacific Islands and having large works hanging in the background during a red carpet talk by Bob Geldof and Malcom McLaren.
