THE Christmas Art & Craft Bazaar

Once again 106 Russell Street South Hastings will be a popular location, with the Christmas Art and Craft Bazaar at the Hastings Community Arts Centre getting underway as of Tuesday 25 November, 2025!

Held annually, over the last 30 years, the Arts Centre's Christmas Bazaar offers hundreds of hand-crafted items for sale from local Hawke’s Bay artisans.

Lyn Mackie from the Arts Centre says the Bazaar is a hugely popular event and staff will be run off their feet with customers. “Our Bazaar is a great opportunity to find unique, hand-made gifts that you won’t find anywhere else,” says Lyn. “What makes the Bazaar extra special is that everything is made by local Hawke’s Bay artists and crafters.”

Established in 1995 to provide an outlet for local artisans to sell their works to shoppers during the Christmas period, The Hastings Community Arts Centre Christmas Art and Craft Bazaar has formed a devout following and many crafters and artists have their own devotees.

This year’s bazaar will also run right up until 1pm Christmas Eve, giving last minute Christmas shoppers the chance to grab everything from one-of-a-kind stocking fillers to artworks and furniture.

With so many items on display, Lyn encourages shoppers to give themselves plenty of time to check out all that is on offer. “Many of our customers come back time and time again, unearthing new treasures on each occasion,” says Lyn.

THE Christmas Art and Craft Bazaar will be open to the public Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm and Saturdays 10.00am – 4.00pm until the 24th of December.
