'WETLANDS' - HB Inkers
Hawkes Bay wetlands and tidal estuaries are threatened by coastal erosion and development. It is positive to see some of these areas being developed in an ecologically sound way. eg: Pekapeka
The purpose of our exhibition is to raise more public awareness of these fragile ecosystems. The work of our members and proposed community workshop/activities for adults and children to engage in will make this exhibition a worthwhile endeavour.
A printmaking workshop for the community relating to the exhibition theme with the opportunity for participants to add to our community montage as well as take a piece of art home.
Hawkes Bay Inkers Printmakers is an active group which meets monthly and is open to all interested members of the community. The members have wide expertise, from professional to those just beginning their printmaking journey. Our members use a wide range of traditional and innovative printmaking techniques, both 2D and 3D.
Printmaking Art Students from Waipukurau College will be included in the exhibition.
